Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food Service Supervisor to run our Campus Taproom. In this role, you will oversee daily operations of our brand new taproom on Western Carolina University Campus, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency. Your leadership will drive team performance, manage inventory, and uphold our commitment to hospitality excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about food service management and team development. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations, including food preparation, serving, and kitchen activities to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service Train, mentor, and evaluate staff members to foster a high-performing team focused on hospitality and operational standards Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize food costs and minimize shortages Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas of the establishment Assist in managing shift schedules Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold a positive experience and reinforce brand loyalty Requirements Alcohol Compliance certification - we can provide Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within the food industry, including team leadership and staff training Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing Knowledge of inventory control, food safety management, and kitchen management practices Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, staff development, and managerial reporting Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and inventory management Experience with restaurant management software and tools related to profit & loss analysis, budgeting, and shift management A background in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred; casual dining or banquet experience is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to supervise multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting Join us as a Food Service Supervisor where your leadership will inspire teams, elevate guest satisfaction, and drive operational excellence.
