Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Housekeeper/Laundry Worker, where your dedication to cleanliness and attention to detail will create a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests and staff alike. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities. Your energetic approach and commitment to hospitality excellence will ensure our facility remains pristine, organized, and inviting. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in cleaning, floor care, and custodial services within a vibrant hospitality setting. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting. Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care. Conduct floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to keep all flooring surfaces in excellent condition. Follow established protocols for janitorial and industrial cleaning to uphold health standards and safety regulations. Restock supplies in guest rooms and public areas to ensure availability of essentials like toiletries and cleaning products. Assist with housekeeping management tasks when needed by reporting maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in cleaning or custodial work, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Familiarity with janitorial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and laundry machines. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.
