Job Description
Housekeeping Support Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and guest common areas. Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to guest rooms and storage areas. Assist room attendants with removing trash, transporting laundry, and completing special cleaning projects. Set up and break down meeting rooms and special event spaces as needed. Respond promptly to guest requests, including extra linens, towels, and amenities. Ensure all housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and work areas remain organized and properly stocked. Light Maintenance Responsibilities Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, batteries, air filters, and smoke detector batteries. Touch up paint and repair minor wall damage as needed. Address basic plumbing issues, including unclogging drains and tightening fixtures. Report major maintenance concerns to management or the maintenance department. General Responsibilities Maintain hotel cleanliness and appearance standards at all times. Follow all hotel safety and security procedures. Work cooperatively with housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance staff. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, custodial, or hotel experience preferred. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, and move housekeeping carts and equipment. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as required.
