Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Conventions Setup/Teardown Staff to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently preparing event spaces by setting up necessary equipment, furniture, and signage, as well as meticulously dismantling and cleaning the area after events conclude. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will ensure seamless event transitions, creating memorable experiences for our clients and attendees. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where teamwork and attention to detail are essential. Duties Assist with the setup of event spaces by arranging tables, chairs, staging, lighting, and audio-visual equipment according to event specifications. Handle the safe transportation and manual handling of heavy items such as furniture, equipment cases, and decorations. Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and other tools to maintain cleanliness before, during, and after events. Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and maintained in accordance with sanitation standards using appropriate chemical agents and cleaning techniques. Disassemble event setups carefully, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly stored or transported for reuse or disposal. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to maintain a safe environment, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns during setup or teardown processes while maintaining professionalism. Qualifications Previous custodial or industrial cleaning experience preferred, with knowledge of floor care and sanitation practices. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following proper manual handling techniques. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and chemical agents used in hotel housekeeping management. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols related to chemical handling and sanitation standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence within hospitality settings. Experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Pay:
From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
