Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, comfort, and safety of guest accommodations and public areas. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and efficiency Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care procedures to ensure a spotless environment Safely handle chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols for effective cleaning while ensuring safety for yourself and others Assist with janitorial tasks such as trash removal, replenishing supplies, and maintaining storage areas in an organized manner Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately to ensure guest safety at all times Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of linens, cleaning supplies, or furniture as needed without risking injury Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial work within hospitality settings Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, industrial cleaning practices, and floor care techniques Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines Excellent manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting and physical endurance for extended periods of activity Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations Previous janitorial or custodial experience demonstrating attention to detail and reliability Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued from the moment they walk through our doors.
