Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and efficiently, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures. Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels to support hotel operations. Assist with inventory management by stocking cleaning supplies and reporting shortages or maintenance needs promptly. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning practices. Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, stripping, waxing, and polishing using appropriate equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; familiarity with SDS guidelines is essential. Physical capability for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting (e.g., furniture or linens), bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction. Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or custodial management is preferred but not required.
