We are currently seeking a Lead Room Attendant to join our team. The Lead Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and assigned hotel areas while providing day-to-day support and guidance to the Room Attendant team. This position helps ensure that guest rooms and common areas consistently meet the hotel's cleanliness, quality, and service standards. The Lead Room Attendant works closely with Housekeeping management to help coordinate daily operations, inspect completed rooms, address cleanliness or maintenance concerns, and support the team in maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
Rate:
$21.75/hour Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to hotel standards. Make beds, change linens and towels, dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize surfaces. Replenish guest room amenities and supplies, including toiletries, paper products, and coffee supplies. Help coordinate and distribute daily room assignments and workload as directed by Housekeeping management. Provide guidance and support to Room Attendants to ensure work is completed efficiently and according to hotel standards. Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and readiness for guest arrival. Follow up on rooms requiring additional cleaning or attention and communicate concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with training and onboarding of new Room Attendants, including demonstrating proper cleaning procedures and hotel standards. Monitor room status and communicate updates, discrepancies, and concerns to Housekeeping management and/or the Front Desk. Identify and promptly report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or other concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned public areas and housekeeping areas as needed. Restock housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment and help ensure supplies are readily available for the team. Assist with resolving guest requests or concerns in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Handle guest belongings and hotel property appropriately and report lost and found items according to hotel procedures. Ensure Room Attendants follow established housekeeping procedures, safety and security guidelines, and hotel standards. Lead by example by maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Assist Housekeeping management with other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements/Skills:
Previous experience as a Room Attendant or similar housekeeping position is required; lead or supervisory experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards, procedures, and cleaning practices. Ability to provide direction, training, and support to Room Attendants in a professional and respectful manner. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-performance standards. Strong ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance. Team-oriented with good communication and a positive attitude. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving housekeeping supplies and equipment.
