Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling procedures to ensure proper sanitation without risk. Use custodial tools and equipment effectively, including vacuum cleaners, mops, buffers, and other cleaning devices. Maintain cleanliness standards by performing tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and floor care. Assist with heavy lifting tasks while practicing safe lifting techniques to prevent injury during the movement of furniture or supplies. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others. Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate eager to learn. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas. Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and equipment such as floor buffers or industrial vacuums is a plus. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols and facility policies at all times.
