Job Description
VIP Staffing is immediately hiring for a housekeeping position with a leading organization in Rio Rancho This is a Full Time position with a schedule of Saturday - Wednesday 9am-5:30pm Pay for this position is $17.00 per hour As a Housekeeping employee you will: Clean all patient rooms and ancillary areas in assigned area using Hospital approved processes and procedures. Ensure patient rooms are cleaned immediately upon patient discharge from the Hospital Vacuum and clean upholstered furniture and carpeted areas Replace all soiled window draperies, move furniture and other equipment as directed. Spot clean and wash walls Clean light fixtures, vents and other apertures. Clean window frames, door frames, televisions and other high dusting using ladder when necessary. Collect soiled linen from all patient areas and distributes the clean linen and hospital gowns back to the appropriate unit. Assist in maintaining floors by proper cleaning techniques which include stripping, waxing, and buffing, as needed. Collect waste from all areas of hospital, sanitizes garbage cans, and properly dispose of waste and bio-waste if necessary. Strictly adheres to Hospital policies and procedures regarding use of hazardous materials and exposure to body substances and utilizes/wears required protective equipment and/or clothing. Take daily inventory of supplies and cleans and inspects equipment for any repairs or replacements. Notifies administration of equipment repairs. May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies. Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Housekeeping employees must meet the following requirements for consideration: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred 1 year experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility preferred Knowledgeable of appropriate healthcare environmental service procedures Effective written and verbal communication skills In English Ability to work independently Able to be on your feet for your full shift, walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling through out your day.
