A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
We are seeking a dependable, service-focused, and hardworking Houseperson to join our Housekeeping team at the

Fairfield Inn Las Vegas North opening soon . The Houseperson supports the daily operation of the hotel by maintaining clean and organized public areas, assisting Guest Room Attendants, restocking supplies, and responding to guest and departmental needs. The ideal candidate will be flexible, team-oriented, and committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and associates. Houseperson Responsibilities Consistently provide professional, friendly, and attentive guest service. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously to requests. Restock linen closets, storage rooms, and housekeeping areas with linens, amenities, and supplies. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked linen and storage rooms. Strip assigned guest rooms of used linens and trash as needed. Collect trash and soiled linens from Guest Room Attendants throughout the shift. Vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, stairwells, and other assigned areas. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel public areas, including the lobby, guest restrooms, breakfast area, and other common spaces. Remove trash from public areas, breakfast areas, and housekeeping work areas as needed. Assist guests with luggage or other reasonable requests when necessary. Assist with laundry operations when additional support is required. Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and other requested items to guest rooms and hotel departments. Assist Housekeeping team members with room cleaning or other duties during periods of high occupancy or operational need. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, suspicious activity, or damaged property to management. Assist with minor maintenance-related tasks when directed and within the scope of the position. Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, security, and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping equipment, carts, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, hotel, janitorial, or customer service experience preferred, but not required. Strong attention to cleanliness and detail. Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently. Ability to work cooperatively with Housekeeping and other hotel departments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to respond professionally and courteously to guest requests. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to assist with housekeeping, laundry, and other operational duties as needed. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel needs. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying. Ability to push and maneuver housekeeping and linen carts. Ability to lift and carry linens, supplies, trash, and other items associated with hotel operations. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and stocking duties throughout the scheduled shift. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position throughout the scheduled shift.
