Job Summary Join our committed pet care team as a Dog and Cat Caretaker and Housekeeper, where your love and enthusiasm for animals and dedication to cleanliness will create a safe, comfortable, clean and joyful environment for our furry residents. In this role, you'll provide loving care to dogs and cats, ensuring their health, happiness, and well-being while maintaining a spotless and sanitized facility. Your proactive approach and animal handling skills will help foster a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for animals with your talent for cleaning and organization. Duties Provide attentive care to dogs and cats, including playing, feeding, administering medications if needed, and monitoring their health and behavior Engage pets with positive reinforcement and handle animals safely using proper restraint methods. Maintain a clean environment by sanitizing suites, common areas, and equipment in accordance with pet care facility standards Assist with pet boarding by supervising playtime, exercise routines, and ensuring pets are comfortable during their stay. Support customer service efforts by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and well-being Walking and caring for dogs of all sizes. The ability to safely walk and handle and control dogs, up to 200 lbs, is a necessity Experience Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is highly desirable, but not required. Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work that demonstrates strong animal handling skills Familiarity with animal restraint procedures Knowledge of animal behavior to recognize signs of stress or illness in pets Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or assisting with work tasks.
