Looking for a child-friendly housekeeper for a private family based in Manhasset, Long Island. The ideal candidate will be warm, kind, dependable, flexible, and able to handle the physical requirements of this job. The housekeeper will be responsible for weekly deep cleaning and the daily upkeep of the residence, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend coverage and domestic travel. This person will also work in tandem with the House Manager and assist with the older two children, ages 9 and 10 years old. Occasional pick ups and drop offs will be required. This person should feel comfortable driving the children and heating up meals/preparing snacks when necessary, though the house manager does the majority of the driving and cooking. Along with the two older girls there is a newborn baby, who has her own Nanny. The Baby Nanny, House Manager, and Housekeeper are expected to work collaboratively, as a team, to ensure smooth running of the household. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Deep cleaning of the entire residence Knowledge of chemicals and proper use on surfaces Disinfecting high touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches, etc.) Laundry - washing, drying, folding, special care Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping Tidying and organizing Occasional errands, driving, and watching the children Ability to bend, kneel, lift, and work at an efficient pace

Qualifications:

Excellent, verifiable professional references from previous families. Professional, dependable, discreet, and committed to maintaining confidentiality. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from Manhasset. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Previous experience in a private residence; experience in a high-profile or fully staffed household is a plus. Comfortable working collaboratively with parents, household staff, and other caregivers. Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Willingness and ability to travel with the family, including occasional overnight travel

Compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications; overtime paid in accordance with applicable law
