Housekeeper Job Description Follow oral and written instructions from supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless execution of daily tasks. Familiarize yourself with material safety data sheets (MSDS) to guarantee a safe working environment. Operate housekeeping equipment with precision and attention to safety guidelines to prevent accidents. Adhere to established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation. Comply with waste disposal procedures and follow directions to ensure a tidy and organized environment. Assist in the proper care and maintenance of housekeeping equipment to prolong its lifespan. Identify and report any equipment malfunction or issue to your supervisor promptly. Report any observed area in poor repair or disarray to your supervisor to ensure timely maintenance. Utilize housekeeping supplies efficiently and effectively to minimize waste and optimize resources. Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees to stay updated on best practices and facility policies. Observe and adhere to infection control procedures specific to the Housekeeping Department to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Respect and uphold Resident's Rights policies at all times, prioritizing dignity and comfort for our residents. Familiarize yourself with the facility's safety program and adhere to its guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Consistently demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic by arriving on time and meeting deadlines. Accept and complete assigned duties in a cooperative and professional manner, working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors. Accept accountability for the accuracy and integrity of the information contained in your employee handbook. Present yourself in a neat, clean, and professional appearance, adhering to dress code guidelines. Work cooperatively with residents, resident representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
