Job Description

Position Summary :

Maintains the hotel's public areas, meeting rooms, and grounds with high level of organization and respect for cleanliness standards, in accordance with company and franchise expectations. Provides excellent customer service to the hotel guests. Transports guests in the company shuttle to and from various locations while adhering to all safety standards and laws. The person in this key role on our team will report to the Executive Housekeeper, Chief Engineer and General Manager.

Specific Responsibilities :

Cleans and sanitizes assigned public areas & grounds in accordance with company and franchise policy. Assists the Executive Housekeeper, as needed with deliveries, cots, cribs, trash removal, snow removal, etc. Assists front desk associates with deliveries to guest and meeting rooms and the cleaning of guest rooms after hours. Assists housekeepers, when necessary to collect and deliver linens and /or assist with rooms. Cleans, prepares and sets up meeting rooms in accordance with the function sheets. Ensures hotel equipment, such as cots, cribs, carts, vacuums, and a/v equipment are maintained properly and secured Ensures cleaning supplies and chemicals are stored used properly. Ensures all chemicals/cleaning product bottles are properly labeled in accordance with the chemical policy. Provides excellent customer service that exceeds expectations of hotel guests. Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times. Observes the company's 10-4 rule. Immediately addresses guest's requests. Assists guests with belongings/luggage as needed. Follows through with other associates to ensure guest needs are met. Properly attired in uniform and nametag, in accordance with franchise and company grooming and uniform policy. Communicates with superiors and co-workers about the status of guest requests, assigned tasks, property upkeep needs, and safety concerns. Provides safety and security for the hotel and its guests. Alerts staff and guests to unsafe conditions and follows the company safety and security policies. Observes and partakes of the hotel key control procedures at all times. Is familiar with the hotel emergency plan and is able to carry out emergency training procedures in confident manner. Observes guest and hotel confidentiality procedures. Uses the hotel safe lifting procedures. Reports all incidents and injuries to the appropriate supervisor. Provides input and ideas on the operation of the hotel. Participates in training initiatives and skill development. Completes any other task as requested by a supervisor, including training new associates.

The effectiveness of a successful house person is measured by the achievement of the following goals: Maintain a clean, attractive property that presents an excellent impression to our guests Work well with co-workers and contribute to the overall success of our team. Position Requirements Availability to work on all shifts, during the normal operating hours of the property. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push and pull while performing job tasks. Must be able to lift 50lbs or greater. Clean drivers record, must pass driver history check per the requirements of insurance carrier.
