Job Description

Event Setup & Operations Associate Oak Hill Country Club is seeking a Houseman to help prepare our Club for the many events and experiences we host throughout the year. This position plays an important behind-the-scenes role in ensuring that our meeting rooms, restaurants, and Club spaces are prepared and presented exactly as planned for our members and guests. What You'll Do Prepare a variety of Club spaces for events, meetings, dining experiences, and special functions. Review event setup instructions provided by the Catering team and transform each space according to the specific needs of the event. Move and arrange tables, chairs, furniture, and other equipment to create the appropriate room layout. Set tables, arrange furnishings, and assist with the placement of event materials and equipment as directed. Prepare meeting rooms, restaurants, banquet spaces, outdoor areas, and other Club spaces for events. Return spaces to their original condition following events, including moving furniture and equipment and ensuring the area is clean, organized, and ready for its next use. Work closely with the Catering and Food & Beverage teams to ensure event spaces are prepared accurately and on time. Assist with last-minute changes or adjustments to room setups as event needs change. Maintain organized and clean event equipment, storage areas, and workspaces. Provide friendly and professional assistance to members, guests, and fellow employees when working in event spaces. Follow Club standards for cleanliness, safety, presentation, and service. Perform other duties as assigned by management. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes pride in preparing spaces and creating a great experience for others. You don't need to have extensive hospitality experience-we can teach you our event standards.
The ideal candidate is:
Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where event needs can change quickly. Able to follow detailed instructions and take pride in getting the details right. Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction from Catering and Food & Beverage leadership. Able to work independently once given instructions. Friendly, professional, and respectful when working around members and guests. Comfortable with physical work, including moving tables, chairs, furniture, and equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and remain active for extended periods. Ability to regularly lift and move furniture, tables, chairs, and equipment, with some items weighing up to 100 pounds. Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying weather conditions. Why This Role Matters Every event at Oak Hill begins with the space itself. The way a room is arranged, prepared, and presented sets the stage for the experience our members and guests receive. This position is an important part of making sure every detail is ready before the event begins.
