Full-Time Housekeeper for Family Home- Live-In or Live-Out - Roslyn, NY Monday-Friday | Live-In or Live-Out | Long-Term Position A warm, generous family in Roslyn, Long Island is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional housekeeper to become a long-term part of their household. This family truly values the people who work in their home. Their full-time live-in nanny has been with them for eight years , and they are hoping to find another wonderful long-term employee who will become an equally trusted and valued part of the household. The family includes Mom, Dad, and four children, ages 11, 9, 7 and 5 . Mom does not work outside the home, and the children have busy school and after-school schedules. The Role This position is primarily about keeping the home exceptionally clean, organized and running smoothly . The family is looking for someone who is truly a housekeeper by profession — someone who naturally notices what needs attention and has the eye for detail that is difficult to teach .
Responsibilities will include:
Thorough daily cleaning and maintenance of the home Deep and detailed cleaning Laundry, folding and putting clothing and linens away Changing beds and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms Kitchen cleaning and upkeep Dishes and general household tidying Keeping closets, cabinets, pantries and household spaces organized Creating and maintaining organizational systems so everything has a place Keeping track of household supplies and alerting the family when items need to be replenished Helping the household operate smoothly from day to day Anticipating what needs to be done rather than waiting for direction Assisting with errands and household tasks as needed There is already a full-time live-in nanny , so this is not primarily a childcare position . However, because the children have busy afternoon schedules, the family would strongly prefer someone who drives and can occasionally assist with school or activity drop-offs and pick-ups when needed.
