Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to OSHA regulations and environmental services best practices. Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care procedures using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques. Follow infection prevention protocols by sanitizing high-touch areas regularly and ensuring all cleaning supplies are used correctly. Document laundry cycles and cleaning activities accurately while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support team efforts by collaborating with healthcare staff to meet sanitation needs efficiently and courteously. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA standards related to chemical handling, manual handling, and safety protocol adherence is essential. Experience with healthcare infection prevention and control practices will be advantageous. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, and laundry machines is desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices is required.
