Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Conduct floor care activities including vacuuming, mopping, buffing, and other floor cleaning techniques to maintain pristine surfaces. Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring sanitation standards are met consistently. Maintain cleanliness of all hotel facilities in compliance with sanitation regulations and industry best practices for hospitality environments. Respond promptly to guest requests or inquiries with excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality settings. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly by understanding chemical handling procedures and SDS documentation. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Prior experience with industrial cleaning or commercial janitorial services is advantageous.
