We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to support our specialized respiratory and tracheostomy unit. Key Responsibilities:
Environmental Services & Infection Prevention Perform daily housekeeping duties throughout the specialized unit. Complete multiple scheduled cleaning and sanitization rounds each day in resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces. Maintain clean, organized, sanitary environments by properly cleaning, disinfecting, and replacing environmental items and equipment as appropriate. Follow established infection prevention and control practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), approved disinfectants, and cleaning procedures. Properly utilize cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies in accordance with manufacturer instructions, facility policies, and safety guidelines. Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental services, infection prevention, and regulatory standards. Promptly report maintenance, safety, environmental, or infection control concerns to appropriate personnel. Support additional environmental cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned. Teamwork & Resident Experience Promote a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and team members. Collaborate with nursing and other departments to support the needs of residents requiring specialized care. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
Required Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or custodial experience. Ability to follow infection prevention procedures, safety protocols, and departmental standards. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Ability to safely lift, bend, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) or more years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or infection prevention practices in a healthcare setting. Experience working in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, LTAC, or other post-acute healthcare environments.
