Position Overview:
Housekeepers at Swank House play a critical role in delivering the guest experience that our company is known for. Our vacation homes and luxury suites are thoughtfully designed spaces, and the housekeeping team ensures each property is cleaned, refreshed, and staged to the highest standards before every guest arrival. This role goes beyond basic cleaning. The Housekeeper is responsible for preparing each home or suite so that it feels polished, comfortable, and welcoming. Guests should walk into a space that feels spotless, organized, and cared for. Because we operate boutique properties rather than a traditional hotel, attention to detail is extremely important. Small touches—neatly folded linens, spotless mirrors, aligned décor, and fully stocked supplies—make a meaningful difference in the guest experience. Housekeepers typically work independently at assigned properties but remain in close communication with the operations team to ensure that all units are prepared on time for incoming guests.Core Responsibilities:
Property Turnover Cleaning The primary responsibility of this role is preparing properties between guest stays.This includes:
Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces Changing and making beds with fresh linens Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors, showers, and tubs Dusting and wiping all surfaces including furniture, décor, lamps, and baseboards as needed Vacuuming carpets and rugs Sweeping and mopping hard floors Cleaning kitchen surfaces including counters, sinks, stovetops, appliances, and cabinet fronts Washing or loading dishes when necessary Emptying trash and replacing liners Ensuring entryways and outdoor access areas are tidy Each property must be fully cleaned and guest-ready before the next arrival.Property Presentation & Staging:
Swank House properties are designed to feel warm, beautiful, and intentional. Housekeepers are responsible for restoring this presentation after each stay.This includes:
Making beds neatly with smooth, wrinkle-free linens Arranging pillows and bedding consistently Straightening décor and furniture Folding towels neatly and placing them according to property standards Ensuring rooms feel fresh, organized, and inviting The goal is that every guest walks into a space that feels professionally prepared.Inventory & Supply Awareness:
Housekeepers also help ensure properties remain stocked and ready for guests.Responsibilities include:
Restocking supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, and guest amenities Notifying management when supplies are running low Reporting missing or damaged items Ensuring linens and towels are rotated appropriately Housekeepers will also assist with laundry coordination when needed.Property Condition Monitoring:
Housekeepers are often the first team members to notice issues within a property. Helping protect the condition of our homes and noticing potential issues before they reach the guest experience is essential.This may include reporting:
Maintenance issues (leaks, broken fixtures, appliance problems) Guest damage Items that need repair or replacement Safety concerns Prompt reporting allows the operations team to resolve issues before the next guest arrives.Communication & Team Coordination:
Housekeepers work closely with the Swank House operations team to keep turnovers running smoothly and being in direct communication with the daily Manager on Duty.This includes:
Confirming when properties are completed and ready for guests Communicating any concerns during the cleaning process Following cleaning checklists and property-specific instructions Coordinating schedules when multiple properties need preparationWork Environment:
Housekeepers travel between Swank House vacation homes and suites within the local area. Each day may involve preparing multiple properties depending on guest turnover schedules. The work is active and hands-on, requiring walking, standing, bending, lifting linens, and moving efficiently through cleaning tasks. Our properties are well maintained and thoughtfully designed, and we aim to create a work environment where team members feel pride in the spaces they help care for.Schedule & Hours:
This is a part-time position averaging 12-20 hours per week.Typical working hours are:
11:00 AM- 3:00 PM These hours align with guest check-out and check-in times.
Pay:
$20.00- $22.
