Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of guest areas and hotel facilities. Your proactive approach will ensure a welcoming environment that exceeds guest expectations. Duties Perform comprehensive floor cleaning and care using appropriate equipment and chemical agents to ensure pristine surfaces. Handle cleaning tasks across various hotel areas, including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public spaces, adhering to sanitation standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners with precision and safety. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations. Follow safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for chemical handling to maintain a safe environment for yourself and colleagues. Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards. Respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies following hotel procedures to deliver excellent customer service. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices. Knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation procedures, and chemical agent handling. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, vacuuming, and extended periods of standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols. Previous experience in hospitality environments is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety data sheets (SDS) instructions precisely.
