Job Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment that meets brand and property cleanliness standards. Key Responsibilities Clean and service guest rooms (occupied, stay-over, and checkout) according to established standards and within assigned time frames Make beds, change linens, and replace towels Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including tubs, showers, sinks, and toilets Restock room amenities and supplies (toiletries, coffee, glassware, etc.) Empty trash and recycling Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisor Maintain cleanliness of hallways, elevators, and other public/common areas as assigned Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items Operate housekeeping equipment and carts safely and efficiently Adhere to all safety and chemical handling guidelines (OSHA/MSDS) Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy at all times Communicate with front desk/supervisor regarding room status Assist with laundry duties as needed Qualifications Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures Basic communication skills (English preferred; bilingual a plus) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25-35 lbs (linens, supplies, equipment) Ability to push/pull housekeeping carts Repetitive motion tasks (scrubbing, vacuuming, making beds) Work Environment Fast-paced hotel environment Exposure to cleaning chemicals (with proper PPE and training provided) Indoor work with frequent room-to-room movement
