Job Description
Whitemarsh Valley Country Club Housekeeper (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities) Whitemarsh Valley Country Club is seeking enthusiastic, service-focused individuals to join our Housekeeping team. We have both full-time and part-time positions available . The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the Club, including the Clubhouse, Golf Course facilities, and Pool complex. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail. This position works closely with all departments and reports directly to the Head Housekeeper. About Us Founded in 1908, Whitemarsh Valley Country Club is a traditional, member-owned private club with 650 members (385 golfing), annual gross revenue of approximately $8 million, food and beverage revenue of $3.3 million, and approximately 20,000 rounds of golf played each year. The Club is open six days per week, 11½ months per year, and features an 18-hole golf course designed by George C. Thomas Jr. Dining facilities include the à la carte Thomas Grille, Widener Room, Ballroom, Men's Locker House, Halfway House, and a recently renovated swimming pool complex with a Snack Bar and Cabana Bar. The main Clubhouse, which houses member dining, banquet facilities, administrative offices, and the Golf Shop, underwent a major renovation in 2018. Position Responsibilities Dust and polish furniture and fixtures Clean and sanitize restrooms Wash windows and glass surfaces Vacuum carpets and rugs Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish hard-surface floors Restock restrooms with paper products, toiletries, and other supplies Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste Report maintenance issues or needed repairs Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and guests Qualifications Previous housekeeping, custodial, maintenance, or related experience preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Professional and courteous when interacting with members, guests, and coworkers Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, turn, and stoop for extended periods Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Reliable transportation Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Flexible full-time and part-time scheduling Complimentary staff meal during scheduled shifts Eligible full-time employees receive: Medical, dental, and life insurance 401(k) with Club match Paid vacation and other benefits in accordance with Club policies Join a team that takes pride in providing an exceptional experience for our members while working in one of the area's premier private clubs.
