Duties Operate industrial laundry machines such as washers and dryers to efficiently clean textiles while maintaining safety standards in production. Handle materials carefully using proper manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and push carts, to transport linens, garments, and other textiles safely. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of laundry areas by following strict safety protocols and using appropriate laundry detergents. Sort, fold, and organize linens and garments with attention to detail, ensuring proper garment care and textile cleaning. Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies of laundry detergents, fabric softeners, and other cleaning materials. Follow established safety standards during all laundry processes to prevent accidents or injuries. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services or special textile care needs. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and textile cleaning methods. Experience operating laundry equipment such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care machines. Ability to handle materials safely using manual handling skills; including heavy lifting and pushing carts efficiently. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, calculating load sizes, or managing inventory levels. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to ensure compliance at all times. Excellent customer service skills to address guest or staff inquiries courteously and professionally. Knowledge of laundry services including sorting, folding, stain removal, and garment care best practices.
