Job Title:

Janitor Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain cleanliness in hospital rooms, primarily focusing on sanitizing rooms between patient discharges. This role requires extensive walking, and you must be comfortable being on your feet throughout the day. You will be responsible for wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning spills, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed. With multiple floors to cover, attention to detail is essential. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize hospital rooms between patient discharges. Wipe down medical equipment and surfaces. Empty trash and manage waste disposal. Sweep and mop floors across multiple floors of the hospital. Dust and clean up spills promptly. Use issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials. Essential Skills Experience working with smartphone technology. Comfortable with extensive walking and being on feet all day. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous janitorial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. GED/diploma preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. The role involves a considerable amount of walking and physical activity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muncy, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
