Description Duties may include but are not limited to the following: The housekeeper aide is responsible for responding to emergency cleanups throughout the community. Operating power equipment and accessory tools, such as the wet-dry vacuum,scrubbing and buffing machines, wall washing equipment, rug shampooed, handtools, floor mops, treated dry mops, sponges, brushes and brooms.
Maintain bathroom and lavatory areas, patient rooms, hallways, stairways, and office areas. Perform moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, continuous standing, bending, stooping, walking, climbing of stairs and pushing.
May be exposed to dirt, disagreeable order, and dust and cleaning agents.
Floor maintenance using heavy duty cleaning equipment, cleaning baseboards, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, refinished, buffing, vacuuming carpets and carpet runners.
Spot washing areas; cleans office, lobby, and recreation room furniture.
Empties trash and waste baskets, replaces can liners, transports refuse and trash to established collection points.
Replenishes supplies of paper towels, toilet paper, and soap where dispensers are located.
Cleans restrooms to appropriate standards. Cleans storage cabinets, counters, and elevators, windows and window ledges, blinds, shades, screens, mirrors, glass doors and other glass surfaces.
