A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
Overview As the Housekeeping and Guest Services Lead, you'll lead the housekeeping, program and front desk team and play a key role in ensuring cabins are ready for guests, managing the reservations system, and communicating with guests to ensure their needs are met. In this year-round position, the spring, summer and fall months are in-person and hands-on, and in the winter, the role has flexibility to work from home, only visiting the resort as needed. If you have hospitality leadership experience, great interpersonal skills, and would never miss a crumb while cleaning, you could be the perfect person for this position! This is a hands-on resort operations role. During peak season, you'll be moving between cabins, the front desk, housekeeping teams, guests, programs, and daily resort needs. During this time, some days are administrative, and many days require jumping in physically to help with turnovers, guest requests, staff coordination, and quality checks. This is a great role for someone who likes hospitality but does not want to sit behind a desk all day. You'll play the roles of team lead, guest problem-solver, hands-on housekeeper, and quality-control expert.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate housekeeping schedule, tracking arrivals and departures to schedule housekeeping staff. Oversee and handle guest relations, including answering phones, emails, chats, and in-person requests and questions. Handle payments and reservations, and address any concerns or feedback promptly to enhance overall guest experience. Onboard, schedule, and supervise ~12 seasonal staff on housekeeping, activities, and front desk. Work closely with dock, grounds, and maintenance staff. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale among staff. Conduct quality control checks and perform hands-on cleaning of cabins and common areas as needed.
Housekeeping will include:
spring cabin opening, training new housekeepers, summer turnovers, fall cabin closing and occasional winter stays. Lead high-volume Saturday cabin turnovers during summer, including coordinating the team, troubleshooting issues, inspecting cabins, and physically assisting with housekeeping when needed. Manage and update resort website content, activity information and information for guests. Coordinate with guests and vendors to assist with weddings and events that take place at the resort.
Qualifications:
Required:
2+ years' experience with hospitality operations, resort, lodging, camp, property management, housekeeping management, event operations, or recreation/tourism backgrounds. Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to provide direction and feedback to staff members, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism. Comfortable being on your feet for much of the day during peak season and physically assisting with cabin cleaning, laundry, supply runs, setup, and guest needs as required. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have basic computer skills with proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able and willing to work on Saturdays during summer months. Must be able and willing to assist with cabin cleaning as needed. Preferred Prior experience with hospitality reservation software, handling bookings, point of sale, etc. Prior experience in a housekeeping role. Degree in business, hospitality, or other related field.

Flexible schedule and hybrid work from mid-October until mid-April. (Full-time in-person during summer months) Hours range from 24-40 hours per week.
