Job Summary The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments in a hospitality environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, dried, folded, and stored properly, contributing to the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service. May have to clean rooms on occasion. Duties Operate washing machines and dryers to clean linens, towels, and other items according to established procedures. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items efficiently and accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management. Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Assist with any additional custodial or housekeeping tasks as needed to support hotel operations. Skills Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is preferred. Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality standards. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with floor care practices and housekeeping management is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Hotel room cleaning is a plus.
