Duties Assist with cleaning and maintaining public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces to ensure they are spotless, sanitized, and inviting. Support room attendants by delivering linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment efficiently throughout the property. Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and mops to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Follow safety procedures by handling chemical agents properly, adhering to Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and using personal protective equipment during cleaning activities. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture or large supplies, ensuring compliance with manual handling guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of service carts, storage areas, and supply closets to support smooth housekeeping operations. Respond promptly to guest requests or needs related to cleanliness or amenities, providing excellent customer service that enhances guest satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks; knowledge of chemical handling protocols is essential. Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools. Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture safely. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and guests. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial experience that supports efficient operations.
