Job Description
Job Overview The Banquet Houseman assists with banquet service; follow directions of Banquet Manager with events; deliver service to meet and exceed client expectations. We are seeking a Banquet Houseman to join our team and assist in banquet events at our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and hospitality, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists on all daily banquet operations. Set up and breakdown room set ups per BEO form. Understanding of different type of room set-ups Knowledge of proper service techniques. Thoroughly communicate function information with the team. Must have understanding on how to read and execute a BEO form Make sure all meeting rooms are set accordingly to BEO's and are clean and organized at all times. Daily inspection and cleaning of banquet hallways, meeting rooms, storerooms and public areas, for organization and cleanliness. Maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of conference center. Deliver quality service to meet client needs and expectations Experience- Working knowledge of A/V, Weddings, and Banquets are a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel or catering industry
- Strong knowledge of banquet operations, including setup, service, and breakdown
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
