Housekeeper Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in residential or commercial spaces, ensuring a high standard of sanitation and comfort. This role requires excellent time management, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform various cleaning tasks efficiently. Experience in residential cleaning, janitorial services, or hotel housekeeping is preferred, along with a proactive approach to customer service and client communication. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface cleaning Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure a hygienic environment Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment safely and effectively Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor polishing as needed Manage cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of cleaning equipment Execute outdoor work tasks such as patio or porch cleaning when required Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or large items Ensure all areas are maintained according to client specifications and standards of cleanliness Communicate effectively with clients regarding specific cleaning needs or requests Requirements Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial, janitorial, or hotel housekeeping roles preferred Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, equipment operation, and sanitation procedures Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients Familiarity with carpet cleaning, floor care, and use of various cleaning detergents and supplies Experience in housekeeper management or supervisory roles is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and manual labor This position offers an opportunity to contribute to creating clean, comfortable environments while developing your skills in housekeeping management and client relations.
