The Hotel Housekeeper, also known as a Room Attendant, is responsible for cleaning assigned rooms, replacing linens and amenities, reporting maintenance concerns and helping ensure that guest rooms and hotel areas meet La Quinta and DePalma cleanliness standards. Responsibilities Clean assigned guest rooms thoroughly and efficiently. Make beds and replace sheets, pillowcases and other linens. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, toilets, showers, tubs, sinks and counters. Dust furniture, fixtures, lamps and room surfaces. Vacuum carpets and clean hard-surface flooring. Empty trash and remove used linens from guest rooms. Replace towels, toiletries, coffee supplies and other guest-room amenities. Clean mirrors, windows and other glass surfaces as assigned. Check guest rooms for damage, missing items and maintenance concerns. Report maintenance needs, safety hazards and lost-and-found items promptly. Follow room-status procedures and communicate completed rooms accurately. Stock and maintain the housekeeping cart with required linens, cleaning products and supplies. Follow proper procedures for cleaning products, chemicals and equipment. Respect guest privacy and secure guest belongings and hotel property. Respond courteously to reasonable guest requests. Assist with public-area cleaning, laundry or other housekeeping duties when assigned. Follow hotel safety, sanitation, security and infection-control procedures. Work cooperatively with the front desk, maintenance and other hotel departments. Complete assigned rooms and duties within established productivity and quality expectations. Qualifications The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently and can be counted on to prepare guest rooms properly every day. Required Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to follow cleaning procedures, room assignments and safety instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a housekeeping team. Ability to manage time and complete assigned rooms within required timeframes. Ability to communicate maintenance, guest and room-status concerns accurately. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting and moving supplies, and pushing or pulling a housekeeping cart, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work with approved cleaning products and equipment. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation. Availability to work weekends and holidays based on hotel business needs. Preferred Previous hotel housekeeping or Room Attendant experience. Previous professional, residential, healthcare or commercial cleaning experience. Familiarity with hotel room-cleaning and inspection standards. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with daily productivity expectations. Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
