Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards to ensure a pristine appearance Use janitorial equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and steam cleaners to maintain high sanitation levels Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen, supplies, or equipment movement while following manual handling safety procedures Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with strong janitorial expertise Skilled in floor cleaning, sanitation, and industrial cleaning techniques to uphold hygiene standards Knowledge of chemical agent handling, chemical handling safety protocols, and proper use of cleaning equipment Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining physical stamina Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) requirements Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards in a hospitality setting
