Tool Room Attendant / Shipping & Receiving CoordinatorPosition Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Tool Room Attendant / Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support daily operations in a fast-paced industrial repair environment. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing and distributing tools and materials, and managing the shipping and receiving process for equipment and components related to turbine, valve, rotor, bearing, pump, and general industrial repair services. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a demanding shop environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory of tools, parts, consumables, equipment, and repair materials Receive, inspect, verify, and distribute incoming shipments Prepare, package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments Maintain accurate inventory counts and restock shop supplies as needed Organize tool room, warehouse, shelving, and storage areas for efficiency and accountability Track and document inventory movement using computer systems and spreadsheets Assist technicians with locating and distributing tools, fittings, hardware, and repair materials Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently Verify dimensions, quantities, and specifications of received materials and components Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Support teardown, diagnostic, and repair operations by ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits Follow all company safety procedures and shipping/receiving protocols Required Qualifications Previous experience in shipping & receiving, warehouse operations, tool room management, or industrial inventory control Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes safely Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working in a high-demand industrial environment Basic to intermediate computer skills, including inventory systems and Microsoft Office Strong understanding of industrial hardware and components including: Pipes and tubing Fittings and flanges Gaskets Bolts and fasteners Precision tools and measuring devices Ability to read tape measures and understand precise measurements Ability to perform fraction-to-decimal conversions accurately Strong attention to detail and accountability Ability to lift and move materials safely as required Must pass background check and drug screen Preferred Qualifications Experience in industrial repair, machining, rotating equipment, or manufacturing environments Knowledge of turbine, valve, pump, rotor, and bearing components Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday Ability to lift heavy materials within company safety guidelines Comfortable working in shop and warehouse environments with varying temperatures and noise levels Schedule & Work Environment Full-time position Fast-paced industrial repair facility Overtime may be required based on workload and project schedules

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
