This position is responsible for the cleanliness of vacant units, the leasing office, common areas, amenities, building exteriors, and grounds. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, and a commitment to maintaining high standards throughout the community. Responsibilities of our Housekeeper/Groundskeeper
- Act as a role model for team members and residents by creating a positive work environment, providing superior customer service, and supporting the community's resident retention and maintenance goals.
- Maintain the community grounds by removing trash, debris, and litter from around buildings, hallways, breezeways, dumpsters, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and other areas as assigned by the Property Manager or Lead Maintenance.
- Perform thorough cleaning of vacant apartment homes so they are ready for move-in, including kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets, appliances, floors, windows, fixtures, and other interior surfaces.
- Clean and maintain the leasing office, restrooms, laundry facilities, hallways, breezeways, common areas, amenities, pool furniture, exterior fixtures, and other community spaces.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces as needed.
- Trash out vacant units, storage areas, garages, shops, and other assigned spaces.
- Dispose of trash and recycling properly and keep dumpster areas clean and organized.
- Assist with move-ins and deliver resident notices as requested.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked.
- Keep cleaning equipment in good working order and maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, property damage, and needed repairs to the appropriate team member promptly.
- Assist with routine grounds upkeep, light checks, and replacement of accessible bulbs as directed.
- Follow all maintenance and safety policies and procedures and immediately report potential liabilities to the Property Manager.
- Maintain an excellent customer service relationship with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members.
- Support the management and maintenance teams with other community needs as reasonably requested.
- Participate in after-hours or inclement-weather response when requested by the Property Manager, Lead Maintenance, or Regional Manager. Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work after hours as needed, including holidays, weekends, and nights due to emergencies and/or inclement weather.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must regularly move throughout the community, travel between buildings, climb stairs, work in varying outdoor weather conditions, use cleaning tools and equipment, and communicate effectively with residents and team members. In addition, you must be able to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to:
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays when required, including during inclement weather.
- Travel from floor to floor, climb stairs and ladders, and work outdoors between buildings in varying weather conditions.
- Stand, bend, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, push, pull, carry, maintain balance, use hands and fingers to operate tools and controls, and reach.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Have sufficient depth perception, distance vision, and close vision to safely perform assigned duties.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work rotating weekends as needed to maintain the cleanliness of the community during office hours. Required Skills/Abilities

Must have a personal, reliable vehicle to perform various management tasks, property errands, commute to our BRM HQ as needed, and any other job-related travel. Must have proof of current liability insurance and current registration for the vehicle using as transportation.
