Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment. Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors. Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols. Manage laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels to meet operational standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety procedures. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Deliver exceptional customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and ensuring their needs are met promptly. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of floor care techniques including chemical handling for different surfaces. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Experience with industrial cleaning practices and sanitation standards to uphold hygiene excellence. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
