- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, cabins, restrooms, showers, bathtubs, countertops, sinks, appliances, and other assigned areas.
- Make beds, change linens, and prepare guest rooms and cabins for incoming groups.
- Vacuum carpeted floors and sweep or mop hard-surface floors, porches, and other areas.
- Clean mirrors, windowsills, glass surfaces, blinds, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, load, and unload laundry and restock linens and supplies.
- Keep bathrooms and guest areas stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other necessary supplies.
- Safely use vacuums, mops, and other housekeeping equipment and cleaning products.
- Tidy and organize rooms and common areas to maintain Lakeview's standards for cleanliness and hospitality.
- Identify and promptly report needed repairs, damaged items, or replacement needs.
- Assist with additional housekeeping responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping. Your Gifts
- Previous housekeeping, custodial, hospitality, or professional cleaning experience preferred.
- Knowledge of - or willingness to learn - proper cleaning, sanitizing, and housekeeping methods.
- Ability and willingness to learn how to safely use cleaning products, equipment, and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, guest needs, and work assignments.
- Willingness to receive constructive feedback and apply it to your work.
- Good listening, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
- Dependable, trustworthy, honest, and able to work with integrity.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and high energy level throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds and perform the physical responsibilities of housekeeping work.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, faith-centered team.
