As a BSTW Resident Services Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day Resident Services housekeeping in the main building at Blue Skies West in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and established departmental procedures. Cleans and maintains assigned common areas, guest rooms, and administrative offices to provide a clean, safe, sanitary, orderly, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, visitors, and employees. What you will do in this role: Performs routine housekeeping in assigned areas of the Blue Skies West main building, including common areas, guest rooms, administrative offices, lobbies, corridors, meeting rooms, public restrooms, and other Resident Services spaces. Cleans and disinfects floors, carpets, doors, glass, windows, baseboards, furniture, fixtures, counters, high-touch surfaces, and other assigned surfaces by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, wet or damp mopping, spot cleaning, and washing as appropriate. Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks public and employee restrooms; removes trash and recycling, replaces liners, and maintains dispensers and supplies. Prepares and services guest rooms before arrival, during occupancy when requested, and after departure by making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, emptying waste, replenishing approved amenities and supplies, and completing final room checks. Cleans administrative offices and work areas without disturbing papers, records, equipment, or personal property and keeps all information seen or heard strictly confidential. Maintains clean, sanitary common areas—including the main lobby, resident gathering spaces, corridors, elevators, stairwells, meeting rooms, and other high-traffic areas—and immediately removes spills and debris. Sets up, arranges, and returns lightweight furniture or equipment in guest rooms, offices, meeting rooms, and common areas as assigned and within safe lifting guidelines. Follows schedules, room-status information, work orders, checklists, and supervisor instructions; reports completed work, delays, supply needs, and downtime; and obtains approval before work outside established schedules, service standards, or assigned areas. Signs keys and access devices in and out and follows all key-control, guest-room access, security, privacy, and lost-and-found procedures. Inspects assigned areas and promptly reports damaged, missing, unsafe, or defective furniture, fixtures, equipment, appliances, linens, lighting, plumbing, doors, windows, flooring, and other maintenance concerns. Promptly reports spills, trip hazards, suspicious activity, accidents, injuries, health or safety concerns, and any condition requiring immediate attention to the supervisor or appropriate department. Safely uses cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, equipment, and personal protective equipment according to labels, Safety Data Sheets, procedures, and training; follows infection-control practices, including hand hygiene, EPA-registered disinfectants, and directed isolation, illness, or outbreak protocols. Keeps housekeeping carts, closets, storage areas, equipment, and supplies clean, secure, orderly, and serviceable and alerts the supervisor when inventory needs replenishment. Provides courteous, responsive service with minimal disruption; treats residents, guests, visitors, and employees with dignity, respect, courtesy, and professionalism; and protects their privacy. Follows all Resident Services and Blue Skies of Texas policies on professional conduct, confidentiality, solicitation, socialization, and gifts or gratuities; attends required in-service, safety, infection-control, emergency-procedure, resident-rights, and compliance training; and performs other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Required:
Knowledge of proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment per applicable safety standards is a plus.
Required:
At least one (1) year of housekeeping or custodial experience in a senior living community, healthcare setting, residential apartment complex, or hotel.
Preferred:
