The Hideaway at Arrowhead & The Aviaries at Arrowhead - Sandia, TX Looking for more than just another housekeeping job? Come work in one of the most unique places in South Texas! Our four vacation rental cabins, two rental homes, The Hideaway Café , and The Aviaries at Arrowhead Wildlife Ranch are all located on the same beautiful property. Every day is different, and you'll be surrounded by nature and hundreds of incredible animals. Primary Job Responsibilities Clean and prepare cabins and rental homes between guest stays. Wash and replace linens and towels. Restock guest amenities. Inspect properties and report maintenance issues. Perform light property maintenance. Water plants, pull weeds, sweep patios and walkways, and help keep the grounds clean, attractive, and guest-ready. Help provide an exceptional experience for every guest who visits. We're looking for someone who is dependable, honest, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Weekend availability is required since guest turnovers often happen on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additional Opportunities Because all of our businesses operate together on the ranch, there may occasionally be opportunities to help in other areas if you're interested. For example, during busy times The Hideaway Café may need an extra set of hands. Whether it's helping with simple food prep, keeping the dining area clean, washing dishes, or assisting wherever needed, there's always something different happening around the ranch. Love Animals? Our property is also home to The Aviaries at Arrowhead , a USDA-licensed nonprofit exotic animal sanctuary with more than 500 resident animals . Employees are welcome to volunteer with the sanctuary during their free time if they have an interest in wildlife. Many of our team members started as volunteers, and those who consistently demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the animals are often considered first when paid sanctuary positions become available. As a volunteer, you may help with: Preparing diets and feeding animals. Cleaning and maintaining habitats. Creating enrichment for the animals. Assisting with educational tours and guest experiences. General ranch improvements and facility upkeep. You'll have the opportunity to work around amazing animals including capybaras, lemurs, kangaroos, wallabies, porcupines, fennec foxes, servals, spider monkeys, capuchin monkeys, giant parrots, toucans, ostriches, tortoises, and hundreds of other birds and exotic animals.
