Handle various cleaning agents safely and in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure effective sanitation while maintaining a safe environment. Conduct floor care procedures such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and buffing to uphold high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving cleaning supplies, equipment, or furniture as needed while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Maintain the proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or facilities, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring safety for both guests and staff during unforeseen incidents. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers effectively. Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management principles and safety protocols including SDS guidelines. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest satisfaction. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) is advantageous.
