Job Description

Alacran is hiring an experienced cleaning professional to provide housekeeping and routine facility upkeep in residential, office, and industrial buildings across the New River Valley. This position involves regular local travel during the workday. The reporting location and weekly route will be discussed during hiring. You will have a recurring set of properties, an established cleaning schedule, company-provided materials and equipment, and a company vehicle for travel between work locations. Travel between assigned locations during the workday is paid time. Your work will help keep these spaces clean, comfortable, organized, and ready for use.
Job Duties:
Clean and maintain residential rooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens and break areas, and designated industrial common areas. Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry; change and care for bed linens and towels as scheduled. Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean floors and surfaces using methods appropriate for each material and setting. Clean and disinfect restrooms and designated touchpoints, clean mirrors and accessible interior glass. Track replenishment needs of supplies and place orders for necessary supplies (e.g. paper products, soap, cleaning solutions, etc.). Empty ordinary trash and recycling. Complete scheduled detailed cleaning, care for cleaning equipment, and visually check designated storage areas for conditions that need attention. Replace accessible HVAC and water filters, refill soap dispensers, and replenish water in cleaning robots. Assess areas while cleaning to identify leaks, damaged fixtures, equipment problems, and other maintenance concerns; report issues promptly to the appropriate operating crew and/or your supervisor. Follow cleaning checklists, inspect your finished work, and communicate completed tasks and outstanding needs. Keep equipment and supplies organized and report unsafe conditions promptly. Follow safety, confidentiality, key-control, and worksite-access procedures, and operate the company vehicle responsibly.
Requirements:
At least two years of paid professional cleaning experience, including employed or self-employed work. Experience in both residential and commercial settings is preferred. Experience with laundry and linen care is preferred. Consistent attention to detail and the ability to clean thoroughly without close supervision. Knowledge of safe cleaning-product use and care of different surfaces. Dependable attendance, sound judgment, discretion, and respect for private and company property. The ability to organize a workday, follow instructions and checklists, and communicate with your supervisor. A valid driver's license and eligibility to drive under company and vehicle insurance requirements. The ability to perform the essential duties of an active cleaning role, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving cleaning equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Schedule:
Full-Time Flexible start/finish times, typically 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday 8 hour shift, 40 hours per week
