Duties Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of public spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface wiping. Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Conduct detailed floor care routines such as stripping, waxing, polishing, and deep cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Use industrial cleaning tools and janitorial equipment efficiently to ensure all areas meet sanitation standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving cleaning supplies or equipment safely in accordance with manual handling protocols. Respond promptly to guest or staff requests for cleaning assistance or maintenance issues in public spaces. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors at all times. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or industrial settings is preferred. Hands-on experience with hotel housekeeping management or hotel housekeeping roles is highly advantageous. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) ensures safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or floor scrubbers is desirable. Knowledge of sanitation standards within hospitality environments enhances your ability to maintain high cleanliness levels.
