Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely to clean floors, carpets, bathrooms, and common areas while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Maintain sanitation by properly disposing of waste and following hotel hygiene protocols. Assist with custodial tasks around the hotel including corridor cleaning, stairwell maintenance, and public area upkeep. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety. Manage heavy lifting tasks when handling large linens or cleaning equipment with proper manual handling techniques. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices. Strong understanding of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, chemical handling, and use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums and buffers. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach to guest interactions. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) requirements. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management procedures and custodial experience in hospitality environments. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively during urgent situations. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking during shifts.
