Responsibilities Assist with cleaning and maintaining public areas, hallways, and service corridors to ensure a spotless environment. Support room attendants by replenishing supplies, delivering linens, and handling heavy lifting tasks efficiently. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to uphold floor care standards. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in safety data sheets (SDS) and using appropriate protective gear. Perform routine sanitation tasks including trash removal, floor cleaning, and surface disinfection in compliance with hotel sanitation protocols. Respond promptly to guest requests or issues related to cleanliness or facility maintenance, providing excellent customer service. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Requirements Previous custodial or janitorial experience within a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and industrial cleaning equipment is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely. Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is an advantage.
