Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle cleaning tasks efficiently by vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing high-touch areas to ensure optimal sanitation standards are met. Manage the safe handling and application of chemical agents in compliance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure environmental safety. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of cleaning supplies or equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning activities. Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, polishing, and buffing as needed for different surfaces. Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols for janitorial and custodial tasks. Respond promptly to guest or staff requests related to public area cleanliness or maintenance issues, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety during any incidents or hazardous situations. Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, maintenance activities, and safety checks in accordance with hotel housekeeping management standards. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or industrial cleaning environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, mopping, stripping, waxing, and floor care maintenance. Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely in accordance with SDS guidelines and proper disposal methods. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and other janitorial tools. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
