Homewood Suites by Hilton Position Summary The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall guest readiness of hotel guestrooms, public areas, and assigned work areas. This position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring compliance with Hilton brand standards and hotel policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guestroom Cleaning Clean and service assigned guest rooms, suites, and bathrooms according to Hilton brand standards. Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish towels and guest amenities. Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, and sanitize all surfaces. Ensure kitchens and appliances in guest suites are cleaned and stocked appropriately. Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, and guest belongings. Public Area Maintenance Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, elevators, stairwells, lobbies, and other public spaces. Remove trash and debris from assigned areas. Ensure public restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and fully stocked. Guest Service Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service to all guests. Respond promptly to guest requests and special needs. Report guest complaints or concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager. Safety and Security Follow all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures. Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report safety hazards, accidents, lost-and-found items, and suspicious activity immediately. Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. Inventory and Equipment Maintain housekeeping carts in an organized and professional manner. Track and report shortages of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies. Ensure cleaning equipment is used and stored properly. Teamwork and Communication Work effectively with Front Desk, Maintenance, and Laundry departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Attend department meetings and required training sessions. Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special assignments as directed. Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
