Job Summary:
The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas. This role ensures that all rooms are prepared for arriving guests and that the hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Make beds and change linens and towels. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust assigned areas. Replenish guest amenities such as toiletries, towels, and coffee supplies. Empty trash and dispose of waste properly. Report maintenance issues or damaged items to the supervisor. Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures. Respond to guest requests in a courteous and timely manner. Maintain housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment. Ensure all assigned rooms are cleaned according to hotel standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is an advantage but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50 pounds. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.

Demonstrated knowledge of floor care, industrial cleaning techniques, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with SDS guidelines. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and janitorial procedures is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling comfortably during shifts.
