WHAT YOU'LL DO
Exemplifies MCR's values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism. Clean assigned areas as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Clean tile, vinyl, and carpeted floors in the Casino as instructed. Pick up and remove trash and recyclable materials from the building. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand. Remove, filters, and/or change oil in fryers. Clean and maintains exhaust hood systems in kitchen cooking areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean, sanitary, and orderly. Sweep and mop all kitchen floors, walk-in freezers, service areas, and dry storage areas. Operate related cleaning and floor maintenance equipment as required. Empty trash and cardboard throughout kitchens. Wash and clean all walls according to the cleaning schedule. Gather all linens to proper area for pick up. Pull racks from walk-ins and freezer units to clean as scheduled. Maintain all food and beverage hand wash sinks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all food and beverage chemical storage areas and mop sinks. Respond promptly and professionally to all food and beverage clean up calls. Empty and clean ashtrays, restock restroom facilities, and maintain restroom cleanliness. Operate housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, as instructed. Maintain cleanliness throughout the Casino in compliance with safety and health standards. Perform daily maintenance of Casino parking areas, building exteriors, and grounds. Follow proper procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as needed. Ensure daily upkeep and sanitation of all employee and guest restrooms. Steam clean restroom grout as per the monthly schedule. Dust high-level areas using tools such as ladders and scissor lifts. Gather and empty trash bins. Scrub and sanitize outside trash compactors and surrounding areas. Maintain and repair cleaning equipment as required, notifying the Supervisor of major repairs. Vacuum and shampoo carpets. Scrub elevator walls and floors. Assist other departments with heavy lifting and item transport as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Experience in janitorial/custodial operations to include office spaces, kitchen spaces, general grounds cleaning, entertainment, and hospitality services preferred. Entry-level training provided for candidates who demonstrate passion for guest service; motivation to learn; and a professional demeanor. Valid Washington State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit required. Ability to obtain a Class IIIB gaming license.
HOW YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to comprehend labels and item directions. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to utilize health & safety standards and apply safety regulations, as required.
