A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and occasionally assisting in our laundry facility. You'll play a key part in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and service guest rooms and public areas according to hotel standards (includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash). Clean applicable, including microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and dishware. Notify supervisors/update on employee communication software when rooms are ready for check-in or if a room cannot be serviced. Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints to ensure guest satisfaction. Operate laundry machines; receive, wash, dry, fold, and store linens. Report any damaged or stained items. Report maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management. Use commercial cleaning supplies responsibly and safely. Follow all hotel policies including lost and found, safety, and security procedures. Support deep cleaning projects as needed. Maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude with colleagues and management.
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred. Experience in extended stay hotels is a plus. Ability to speak, read, and write English preferred (additional languages are a plus). Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs regularly. Must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals. Must be well-groomed and maintain a professional appearance in proper uniform at all times Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
