A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
NW Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. We specialize in excavation, underground utilities, site development, road construction, and demolition projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. This position is ideal for a motivated professional who can successfully manage projects from the bidding and estimating phase through project completion. We perform both public and private work as a prime contractor and subcontractor, including federal, state, municipal, and commercial projects. Responsibilities Estimating Read, interpret, and analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents Review project requirements to determine labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor needs Prepare accurate project estimates and cost analyses for management review Perform quantity takeoffs and determine production rates Develop and submit bidder inquiries and pre-bid questions Consult with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and identify cost-effective solutions Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as assigned Project Management Manage projects from award through closeout Create and maintain project schedules and budgets Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations Obtain lead times and procurement information from vendors Prepare, negotiate, and manage change orders and time-and-material (T&M) work Monitor project progress, costs, and contract compliance Maintain strong communication with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and field personnel Project Types Excavation Site Development Road Construction & Reconstruction Storm Sewer Systems Sanitary Sewer Systems Water Utility Installation Full-Scale Demolition Underground Utilities Commercial and Public Infrastructure Projects Minimum Qualifications Minimum 6 years of experience in construction estimating and project management Experience with public works bidding processes and contract administration Familiarity with federal, state, and municipal projects preferred Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Valid driver's license Ability to work onsite in our Battle Ground office a minimum of 40 hours per week This is not a remote position.
